Superannuation Announcement
Barry Dent, Scheme Secretary of the New
Zealand Fire Service Superannuation Scheme
advises
members of the scheme's performance over the last 12-months.
The 2005 Trustee
Annual Report will confirm the following after tax and expenses
performance for the year ended 31 March 2005:
A comparison with other Balanced Funds in
the Melville Jessup Weaver Survey and the AON Consulting Survey for
the year ended 31 March 2005 shows the scheme has performed up with
the top quartile of Investment Managers in both surveys when apples
are compared with apples.
Members are advised
that in the next week the scheme's web site at
www.firesuper.co.nz
will be updated to close off the financial year to 31 March 2005
with both contributions and the application of the interest rates
set out above.

Superannuation NEWSFLASH
The
Firefighters Union Superannuation Trustees are very happy to
advise members of the declared earnings rate for your
Superannuation Scheme over the last 12-months.
The declared earnings rate for the year ended 31 March 2004 is
12.84% NET (after taxes
& expenses).
This rate was confirmed at the trustees year end meeting held
yesterday.
Members should appreciate that this is an excellent result and
certainly a great turnaround from last years return given the
financial market and environment which very much dictated the
outcome of last years earnings.
Scheme members will in the near future have their annual
statements and the schemes annual report mailed to them.
Superannuation Scheme Secretary Barry Dent is currently finalising
the production and distribution of them which is expected to occur
some time around the 2nd week in July.
