Cookies are files that contain information about you and your computer. Cookies are used to maintain state information as you navigate different pages on the NZPFU Web site or return to the Web site at a later time.

The NZPFU uses cookies to "remember" which is your "Local Home Page".

If you want to "change your Local", and the earlier step didn't work, then you'll need to follow these instructions:

:: Instructions for Internet Explorer Users

 

1. Open Internet Explorer by clicking on Blue "e" on your desk top. See the example below.

2. Click on Tools on the main menu at the top of the screen.

3. Select Internet Options and click .....

4. Internet Options window will appear.

5. In the middle of the window you can see the Temporary Internet files section. Click on "Delete Cookies" button please note this option will be available only on Internet Explorer 6.0.

 

6. "Delete Cookies" window will appear.

 

7. Click on "OK" button to delete the Cookies from your computer.

 

8. Mouse pointer will become an hour glass if you have any "cookies" in your computer. Once it's completed deleting the cookies you're returned to the Internet Options window. Now Click on "OK" button. You will come back to Internet Explorer window. You should do this once a week.

9. If you are Internet Explorer 3.0 or above user ...Please follow the below instructions.


10. In the middle of the window you can see the Temporary Internet files section. Click on "Settings" button.

 

11. "Settings" window will appear.

 

12. Click on "View Files" button to open the cookies window.

 

13. This is the cookies window.

 

14. Now click on "Edit" on the main menu at top of the screen.

 

15. Now click on "Select All" on the edit menu options which will select all the cookies.

 

16. Now click on "Delete" key on your key board to delete the cookies. Once you delete the cookies close all the Windows by clicking on "OK" button.

 

:: Instructions for Netscape Users

 

 

1. If you're using Netscape, go to the Program Files\Netscape\Users\Username directory, where username is your username. This assumes that you used the default location when you installed the software.
 
 
 

2. In this directory is a file called cookies.txt. Netscape stores all of their cookies in one file. You can't delete just one. You must delete the entire file. Also, the file cannot be edited. If you try, the file will not work properly.
