All activities on this website are conducted under the laws of the
jurisdiction of New Zealand, unless otherwise stated. The
following sections describe how that jurisdiction is applied to
this website.

Electronic Payment
Electronic payments through this site are highly secure.
Credit card details are collected using a SSL secured server and
are encrypted, so they cannot be read even in the unlikely event
of the purchase details being intercepted.
Backed by New Zealand's
largest bank, we use ANZ eGateTM as our online payment
gateway to provide secure transaction processing for the major
credit card brands.
EFTPOS
New Zealand Limited and ANZ National Bank Limited take
responsibility for transaction encryption and security.
Using Verified by Visa authentication, your transactions are transmitted
securely over the Internet using 128-bit SSL encryption and PKI
digital certificate authentication.
Our online payment gateway features
real time
authorisation, pre authoriation
and capture, and online card authentication.
Our secure shopping cart service (hosted by Mal's e-commerce
Limited) is tested and certified daily to pass the FBI/SANS
Internet Security Test. The "live" HACKER SAFE mark appears
only when a web site's security meets the highest security
scanning standards of the U.S. government, Visa, MasterCard,
American Express, Discover and JCB.
Our secure shopping cart service also displays the Thawte site
seal logo. This enables you to check the site's validity
yourself to confirm the site is authentic and that we offer secure
communications by encrypting all data to and from the site.
Currencies
All prices are in NZ Dollars and include GST. The currency
of transaction is New Zealand dollars only.

We currently accept payment via the

Customs
We only ship goods to New Zealand addresses. On application,
this restriction may be lifted and international orders may be
shipped. If by special arrangement we have agreed to ship
goods overseas, you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied
once a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for
customs clearance must be borne by you; we have no control over
these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs
policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact
your local customs office for further information.
Additionally, when ordering from our store, you are considered the
importer of record and must comply with all laws and regulations
of the country in which you are receiving the goods.
Privacy
We want to make your shopping experience as safe, satisfying,
convenient and pleasurable as possible. We take your privacy
very seriously. The information which we receive from you is
used to process orders and to provide you with a more personalised
shopping experience. This means that your information will
not be sold or otherwise divulged to third parties without your
prior consent. You have certain rights to access information
about yourself and if necessary to ask for it to be corrected.
The Privacy Act in New Zealand makes allowance for a fair and
reasonable charge to be levied for this action if required.

Once processed, the New
Zealand Professional Firefighters Union does not keep encrypted
customers' payment information beyond the routine back-up of the
live database which is made purely for operational reasons.
No customer data belongs to Mal's e-commerce Limited (our shopping
cart service provider).
We respect your privacy. Customer information provided is
used for mailing
your purchases and from time to time we may contact you with
news or offers. Contact will usually be made via our NZPFU eNEWS Bulletins or
NZPFU Members Breaking News txt-msg Alert Service.
You can opt out of these mailings or text messages at any time by
contacting the NZ
Professional Firefighters Union Webmaster. The
customer information you provide will never be given to any other
party without your consent.
If you have a Privacy issue with this online store, you should
contact the NZ
Professional Firefighters Union Webmaster in the first
instance.
Delivery Policy
We only ship goods to New Zealand addresses. On
application, this restriction may be lifted and international
orders may be shipped. Goods shipped within New Zealand are
free of any packaging and freight charges. Orders are
accepted from both members and non-members of the New Zealand
Professional Firefighters Union.
If a product is in stock your order will be packed and
dispatched immediately.
We endeavour to hold stock of all styles and sizes whilst a
product is in our current range. However, occasionally an
item will be out of stock. In these cases, orders are
collated through the month until a cut off date where they are
then shipped within two weeks.
We use Post Haste whose delivery policy is to obtain a
Delivery Proof identifier on all consignments. All overnight intercity deliveries
are completed next morning and residential consignments on a next
day basis.
Rural deliveries may take an extra day.
All dates quoted for delivery are estimated delivery dates
only and may be subject to change.
Returned merchandise and refund policy
The Consumer Guarantees Act requires that products are of
"acceptable quality". In addition, they must be fit for all
purposes they might commonly be used for, be safe and durable, and
must do what the seller has said they will. Goods must be
the same as any description of them. Where goods fail any of
these guarantees, consumers can ask for them to be replaced or for
their money back.
If goods are of the wrong size, we will be happy to exchange them
within 14 days providing they are in perfect condition, unused, and in their
original packaging.
If the goods are damaged when you receive them, we will replace
them (if returned within 14 days).
In order to return goods to us, please contact us as soon as
possible via our Online Help Desk or
by emailing
shopping@nzpfu.org.nz to obtain instructions.
If returning goods we strongly recommend that you obtain a
free receipt of postage from the Post Office as proof of postage
as we will not accept responsibility for parcels lost in transit.
