Ballot Result - Employer's Offer

Herewith is the Returning Officer’s Declaration of the Ballot.

The result – some 94.6% of members attending the meetings rejected the offer – endorses the Committee’s recommendation, and provides unequivocal guidance to the Committee in pursuing a fair and reasonable settlement for our Collective Agreement.

The Committee will be meeting next week to particularly consider the result, and to consider and discuss feedback, comment and suggestions made by members at the ratification meetings.

Subsequent to that meeting, a formal response will be given to the Fire Service Commission’s Bargaining Team which will incorporate a further proposal from the Union to settle the Collective Agreement.
