Brigade Relieving Positions

It would appear that Brigade Management wants to remove four long-standing positions for firefighter relievers that have been attached to each watch at City Station.

These positions are not the normal watch reliever positions, but are positions known as Brigade Relievers. (They have not been filled for quite some years.)

These positions are currently being advertised as District based Relievers.

The Local believes they can offer Management an alternative and more efficient solution.

Until the Local meets and undertakes a full consultative process with Management over this issue, members are advised NOT to apply for these new relieving positions.
