Casual Vacancies - Short Term

TAUPO LOCAL

In accordance with the Rules of the New Zealand Professional Firefighters Union, we are pleased to announce the following vacancies have been filled in the Taupo Local.

Vice President: Mark Doohan
Secretary: Dan McCarthy

These positions take effect immediately.

The Taupo Local Executive is now made up as follows:

President: David Sandilands
Vice President: Mark Doohan
Secretary: Dan McCarthy

We thank all three members for their commitment to supporting Union members in the Taupo Local.

ELECTION OF CENTRAL BRANCH SECRETARY, PRESIDENT AND VICE PRESIDENT POSITIONS

Following the close of nominations for the election of the Central Branch positions of Branch Secretary, Branch President and Branch Vice President, I received one nomination for Branch Vice President and nominations for Branch President and Branch Secretary .

Yesterday’s notice (below) from District Commander Mackereth once again highlights the dire state of the Fire and Emergency fleet.

There are currently NO relief aerials available in the country to replace the Parnell aerial that has suffered a steering malfunction.
