Court of Appeals - Days in Lieu

The date for this hearing has now been changed to 24 July 2006.

Fire Service E-Mail System

It is a clear position of the Union that the Fire Service e-mail is not to be used to conduct any Union business and members are reminded of this.

There are a number of reasons for this, not the least being the matter of confidentiality/security.

It is a fact that many/most/all e-mails to the Union from members and sent through the Fire Service e-mail system experience delays in delivery.

For example, last week an e-mail sent on Wednesday at 1.24pm was not received until around 10.00am on Thursday.

One can only speculate as to where it went in the interim.

As well, mass communication is inappropriate and could quite possibly lead to disciplinary action by the employer.
