Unbelievable!

While NZPFU members have not had a pay increase since July 2023, with some ranks struggling at below living-wage levels, FENZ conducts an easter-egg hunt for HQ staff and Region offices.

FENZ is yet to offer any dates for bargaining with the NZPFU.

The Head of HR – DCE People Janine Hearn  – who should be the lead for FENZ in bargaining and proactive in getting the parties back to bargaining – is instead focused on ensuring fair play for those competing for easter eggs.

Below is an email sent to all in HQ today.  NZPFU have been informed that similar Easter egg hunts are being organised for other office staff including region offices.

Hi everyone

Apologies for the spam email to all of NHQ but People Branch will be doing an Easter Egg hunt this morning at 10am.  I will be hiding easter eggs around levels 6 and 7 early this morning.  Please don’t eat them or it will make it really hard for the teams to find all of their eggs
😊.  To compensate I will leave a bowl of easter eggs in each of the Level 6 and Level 7 Willis St end kitchens – please help yourselves.

And apologies in advance if we make a little noise doing the easter egg hunt!

Thanks heaps!

Ngā mihi nui,
Janine

This is on top of today’s announcement that the FENZ Board is set to receive a 79% increase in their annual fees.  Read about the $1000 a day fees for some Board members which is more than a week’s wages for some NZPFU members.
