Further to Newsletter No. 11 – 13 March 2012, the Union and Fire Service management have been
directed to mediation on Friday 23rd March 2012 in regard to the Union’s application challenging Fire Service management’s National Notice purporting to cancel what it labels “Discretionary Leave”.
Members will be updated on any developments.
As members will be aware, several health and safety concerns were raised with Fire and Emergency by the Local with respect to the commissioning exercises undertaken at the City Rail Link.
Following the close of nominations for the election of the Central Branch positions of Branch Secretary, Branch President and Branch Vice President, I received one nomination for Branch Vice President and nominations for Branch President and Branch Secretary .
Following the close of nominations for the election of the Southern Branch positions of Branch Secretary, Branch President and Branch Vice President, I had received one nomination for each position.
