FUNERAL NOTICE: NZPFU Life Member Jack Glassford

It is with great sadness that we inform members that NZPFU life member Jack Glassford (formally of the Gisborne Local) passed away after a short illness on Tuesday morning.

Jack served for over 40 years as a Firefighter in Gisborne, was a respected member of the Gisborne Local committee and served as Local President for more than 20 years.  He was awarded Life Membership of the NZPFU in 2010 for his extraordinary service and commitment to the Union and the Gisborne Local membership.

Jack was also a Gold Star and Life Member of the Gisborne Brigade as well as Life Member of the NZ Fire Service Golf assoc.

We send our condolences to Jack’s family.
