On Sunday the 29th June four Firefighters from Green Watch Karori appeared on the new TV2 game show "Dare to Win".

The idea behind putting ourselves forward was that any prizes won would be charity auctioned with the proceeds going to the Union's Hamilton Firefighters Trust.

We were successful in achieving our challenge on TV and have won two 42 inch and two 50 inch plasma TV's to auction.

Trade me have sponsored advertising space as well as their fees etc and have also set up a direct URL to the auctions.

That link is:
www.trademe.co.nz/firefighters

The Fire Service have freed up access to the trade me site through its server to enable staff to bid whilst at work.

Two auctions are running this week and a further two will run next week to raise as much money as possible.

If you have been thinking of purchasing a plasma TV at all - heres a really neat way to get a new quality product and know that the money is going to help fellow Firefighters.
