Due to a casual vacancy, we are calling for nominations for the position of:

HAMILTON LOCAL PRESIDENT

How do I nominate for the Local President position?

A copy of the Nomination Form and the new but necessary Incorporated Societies declaration, as well as the NZPFU Charter are attached and are also available on the NZPFU website under Resources, files for download.

  • All nominations must include the completed attached nomination form with Candidate, Proposer and Seconder details and the Candidate agreeing to abide by the NZPFU Charter.
  • The Nominee, Proposer and Seconder must be current financial members of the NZPFU.
  • The nominee/candidate may provide a biography with their nomination form. The biography must not exceed one side of an A4 sheet of paper and may include a photograph or artwork. The biography will be published to members prior to voting should an election be necessary.
  • The nominee/candidate must also complete and return the Incorporated Societies Officer consent declaration form.

Completed nomination documentation must be received by the Branch Returning Officer by email to grabm@orcon.net.nz no later than 5pm on 25th May 2026.

No late nominations will be accepted.

Yesterday’s notice (below) from District Commander Mackereth once again highlights the dire state of the Fire and Emergency fleet.

There are currently NO relief aerials available in the country to replace the Parnell aerial that has suffered a steering malfunction.
