IFE Qualification Payments

As some members may be aware the Fire Service has recently stopped processing the IFE “Qualification Bonus” payment to workers who achieved the qualification from the IFE through Recognised Prior Learning (RPL), under section 2.6.17 of the CEA.

At present there are ongoing discussions between the Fire Service, IFE and NZPFU to resolve this issue. At this point the Fire Service is only processing applications for the Qualification Bonus to personnel who have actually passed the Grad IFE exam. The Fire Service has requested further information from IFE New Zealand on this matter.

Further details will be provided as discussions continue or once a resolution has been achieved.

AUCKLAND LOCAL PRESIDENT ELECTION

An election for the Auckland Local President position shall be conducted by electronic voting commencing at 0900 (9am) Monday 17 August 2026 and closes 1700 (5pm) Friday 4 September 2026.

Annual General Meeting

Members are advised that pursuant to Union Rule B.15.11, notice is given for the Auckland Local Annual General Meeting to be held on Monday 31 August 2026.
