In accordance with the NZPFU Rules, due to vacant committee positions, nominations are called for Gisborne Local Committee members.

A copy of the Nomination Form to be used and the NZPFU Charter is attached and is also available on the NZPFU website under Resources, files for download.   There is now an additional requirement resulting from legislative changes to the rules for Incorporated Societies.  The attached form includes the mandatory Consent and Certificate of Officer form.

Completed nomination forms must be received by the Central Branch Returning Officer Kris Gilmour by email to krisgilmour@windowslive.com by 5pm on Friday, 5 June 2026.

Please ensure that all members are aware that nominations are called, and the elections are overseen by the Returning Officer as per below.

Please forward all nominations to the Central Branch Returning Officer:

  • All nominations must include the completed attached nomination form with Candidate, Proposer and Seconder details and the Candidate agreeing to abide by the NZPFU Charter and completing the mandatory Consent and Certificate of Officer form.
  • The position is Gisborne Local Committee position and members can indicate on the form if they wish to represent a specific watch.
  • The Nominee, Proposer and Seconder must be current financial members of the NZPFU.
  • The nominee/candidate may provide a biography with their nomination form.  The biography must not exceed one side of an A4 sheet of paper and may include a photograph or artwork.  The biography will be published to members prior to voting.
