Following numerous complaints from members in Area 3, the Union has written to Area Manager O’Donoghue demanding that the PRT qualifications, which were arbitrarily removed from affected members’ OSM profile, be reinstated.

The Union also expects that members be allowed to maintain their PRT qualification through suitable training.

The Union has confirmed that Area Manager O’Donoghue is the only Area Manager in the country who has taken this action and that this is not a policy of the Fire Service.

The Union finds this action towards members to be unacceptable and we will continue to keep members informed on any further developments.
