The Local has received a large amount of feedback from members expressing their displeasure and concern with the attendance of Glen Menzies at greater alarm events.

Menzies was, and still is, a “blacked scab”, a former D1 who chose to willingly stab his former Union colleagues in the back during the illegal and failed reforms of the New Zealand Fire Service in the 1990’s.

In response to these concerns, the Local draws members’ attention to this Notice to Members. This is a long standing position of the NZPFU as a whole and this Notice has never been rescinded and, as such, still applies.
