Waitemata staff will be aware of their Area Management calling for applications for a short term secondment from SSO qualified SO’s.

The Union has not been consulted on this matter. The Union sees no justifiable reason as to why a secondment into an SSO’s position should take place on this occasion.

Until such time as proper and full consultation on the issue related to the need to request a secondment into an SSO’s position has taken place and agreement reached, we strongly advise and recommend to members that no SSO qualified SO’s should apply for the position.

The Union’s advice is clear on this matter. No applications for the secondment should be submitted.
