The Local has written to Region 1 Manager Brian Butt informing him of the following regarding our position surrounding a 5th man being assigned to a particular shift period.

“The Union’s stance on this matter is that no member shall ride a first response pumping appliance as a 5th man unless the employer has made provision for an extra B.A. Set as provided for the other 4 crew members.”

If any member requires further clarification, please contact the Secretary.
