Progress has been made in bargaining with FENZ now finding ways to agree to some NZPFU claims and undertaking to re-consider others. The NZPFU also moved on some matters.

The parties have also agreed to two more bargaining sessions in October with the next session on the 9th and 10th October.

In the interim, FENZ will be undertaking work including costings of some NZPFU claims with the intention of coming back with a new position to put to the bargaining team.

We are unable to detail the claims where we are closer to agreement, or the claims we are working on, as all discussions were without prejudice.

The NZPFU cannot advise members whether we are any closer to a reasonable offer as major issues are not resolved.

In unity,
Wattie Watson
National Secretary
