The NZPFU has cancelled today's strike due to the extreme weather events in Wellington and the high level of emergency response calls.

Crews are working hard in dangerous conditions with the emergency communication centres under pressure.

In these conditions we support our members pushing through to protect the community.

Next strike is 4.30pm Wednesday, 1 July.
