The NZPFU National Secretary met with the National Commander today to discuss the 5 new VSO positions.

FENZ will be providing the NZPFU with the information it relied upon in identifying the need for the 5 new positions (1 FTE in Nelson-Marlborough, 2 FTE in Mid-south Canterbury and 2 FTE in Hawkes Bay).  We expect that information to be received later today.

As notified yesterday, the consultation process is important so that we understand whether the number and location of new positions are sufficient to address workload issues and/or the implications on other positions and employees.

We will keep members informed.

In unity,
Wattie Watson
National Secretary
