The NZPFU and FENZ met for facilitated bargaining on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.  The NZPFU was disappointed with the lack of reasonable progress made.

The NZPFU has requested more costings information and is in the process of having a counter-offer costed by consultants.

FENZ have said they are not available next week so unlikely that the parties will be meeting for bargaining again this year – either in facilitation or without facilitation.

The NZPFU members will be striking for one hour from 12 noon on Friday (tomorrow).

Last week we were buoyed by the growing public support.

For more information on how you can support our members including the strike events please go to https://direemergency.nz/

Strike notices have been issued for one hour from 12 noon on Friday 19th and 26th December.
