AUCKLAND LOCAL CHANGES

There will now be 5 Auckland Local membership meetings due to the cancellation of the 2pm meeting on the 8^th July at Avondale to enable members to attend the farewell function for NZPFU Life Member Sulu Devoe.  All other Auckland Local meetings (including the 2pm meeting at Avondale on the 7^th July)  will proceed.

The updated list of meetings is below.  

FENZ has been notified of the meetings and in accordance with the Employment Relations Act every NZPFU member is entitled to attend the meeting.

All NZPFU members covered by the bargaining are urged to attend, including those off duty.  The NZPFU has sought to extend the coverage of the collective agreement to include the attached list of positions.  So in addition to Firefighters, Officers, Call Takers/Dispatchers, VSOs, CRR and RR Advisors/Senior Advisors and trainers, NZPFU members working in the attached list of roles are also urged to attend.

If you can’t attend the date for the meeting in your Local then attend a meeting in a different Local if possible.    We understand that some of the meetings are conducted during school holidays and children of all ages are always welcome at Union meetings.

All meetings will be held on the applicable city station unless indicated otherwise. 

The National President, Vice President and I will attend every meeting.  Branch Secretaries, Presidents and Vice Presidents will also attend the Local meetings in their branch when they are able to do so.
