WATCH LIVE FROM 1PM

The Parliamentary Governance and Administration Select Committee will continue to hear from submitters on the state of FENZ fleet from 1pm today.

The Committee will be sitting every Wednesday from 1pm to 2pm until further notice to hear from those that lodged submissions into the Inquiry into FENZ fleet and related issues.

Every week go to https://www3.parliament.nz/en/pb/sc/list-of-submitters to see who is appearing. Today the submitters include Wellington and Rotorua Local representatives and members.

To watch live at 1pm go here.   The same link includes video of previous hearings including FENZ CE Kerry Gregory, Deputy National Commander Megan Stiffler, Board Chair Rebecca Keoghan and DCE Corporate Services Darryl Purdy last week.

The NZPFU has yet to receive a response from Kerry Gregory on the release of NZPFU members appearing before the Committee.  Most will appear by video but those in Wellington also have the option of appearing in person.  At last week’s select committee hearing FENZ said they welcomed the inquiry and wanted to get all relevant information to the Committee.  The NZPFU has written to FENZ putting those comments to them stating that FENZ should then be ensuring our members can appear including releasing those on duty.   Any member having any issue with being released to appear should contact the National Secretary Wattie Watson.

In unity,
Wattie Watson
National Secretary
