There have been a number of discussions with Fire Service Managers regarding the Physical Competency Assessment and the accompanying payment of the allowance.

Initially, because of management concerns about the possible slowness of the completion of the assessment, management wanted at least 75% of those required to undertake the assessment to have undertaken the assessment before making the payment of the allowance.

Management has now agreed to make the payment on the Pay Day 25 July 2012.

The Union has consequently agreed to encourage and facilitate the speedy conclusion of the P.C.A. process.
