All workers ought to be seriously disturbed at the actions of Progressive Enterprises management in locking out 600 workers who work in the company’s four distribution centers.

The Union also urges members to act on the request for both donations and support at picket lines.

Local officials in localities where additional pickets are being organized have been notified.

The C.T.U. has called an urgent meeting of affiliates for 8 September and your Union will be represented.

At that meeting, the Union will be pledging both financial and moral support for the locked out workers.

Return to Work Duties

We have been told that staff wanting to do Return to Work Duties will have to do them at District HQ and they do not intend to reimburse your travel costs, “you are getting an enhanced pay and you can fund your own travel”. We have since got an agreement that the travel distance reimbursement will be paid for travel to District HQ.
