Remits

The Local calls for Remits from members for the Annual General Meeting.

We are exploring times and venues and expect to announce a location and date for the meeting next week.

FF Position Advertised

After meeting with Auckland Regional Management, the Local received an assurance that vacancies would be advertised as they occurred.

This has now happened with a position at Titirangi Yellow Watch, and the Local encourages any member who wishes to move from a coloured watch position, to apply for this vacancy.

Following the close of nominations for the election of the Central Branch positions of Branch Secretary, Branch President and Branch Vice President, I received one nomination for Branch Vice President and nominations for Branch President and Branch Secretary .

Following the close of nominations for the election of the Southern Branch positions of Branch Secretary, Branch President and Branch Vice President, I had received one nomination for each position.

Yesterday’s notice (below) from District Commander Mackereth once again highlights the dire state of the Fire and Emergency fleet.

There are currently NO relief aerials available in the country to replace the Parnell aerial that has suffered a steering malfunction.
