At the closing date for nominations for positions on the Union Council, the following had been received:

As only one nomination was received for the position of Secretary/Treasurer, DEREK BEST is hereby elected unopposed.

As more than one nomination was received for the position of President and Vice President, elections in accordance with the Union Rules are necessary for these two positions.

The ballot for the President’s position will be held first, followed by elections for the Vice President’s position.

Ballot Papers and any Biographies submitted by candidates will be distributed shortly.

The Auckland Local President election closed at 1700 hours Friday with 89% of those eligible to vote taking part.
