SOS - SAVE OUR PUBLIC SERVICES

More than 100,000 workers and supporters are expected to gather at rallies and events from Kaitaia to Hokonui/Gore this Thursday 23 October 2025 as the pressure mounts on the Government to address the serious systemic issues in the health, education and emergency service sectors.

Nurses, Doctors, Teachers (at all levels of education) Support staff and other workers in Health and Education are leading the events.

The NZPFU is not striking, but all off-duty members are expected to participate in their area as we fight for safe staffing and focused resourcing across the sectors including FENZ.

NZPFU Local representatives have been working hard with representatives of the other unions to organise the events and to organise members attending.  Members are asked to wear NZPFU merchandise and take NZPFU flags and signs used in the NZPFU strike rallies last Friday.
