The Southern Branch executive and Local Branch Secretaries have elected Richard Hurst-Long to the position of Southern Branch Returning Officer.
For practicality reasons outgoing Returning Officer Denis Fitzmaurice will continue to act as returning officer for the current Local Elections which are underway. This will be an opportunity for Richard to observe election processes.
We thank Denis for his work as returning officer and his service to the membership.
Members are advised that the nomination period for the following two positions is now open and will close at 5pm, Friday 11 September 2026.
An election for the Auckland Local President position shall be conducted by electronic voting commencing at 0900 (9am) Monday 17 August 2026 and closes 1700 (5pm) Friday 4 September 2026.
Members are advised that pursuant to Union Rule B.15.11, notice is given for the Auckland Local Annual General Meeting to be held on Monday 31 August 2026.
