Members will, by now, have seen Newsletter to Members # 11 dated 30 April 2010.

Essentially, the Union advises:
"Officers on 1st responding appliances to sprinklered buildings if a 2 pump response is created, to immediately upgrade the response to 'Structual Fire'."

It appears to the Local that Auckland Region Management has mislead National Commander Hall and made all sprinklered buildings a 2 pump response. The Local believes that this is not what National Commander Hall wanted.

This action by Auckland Management has created a very real danger to firefighters and to the public. This is a crime! Don't let them get away with it. Make it up as you go out the doors!
