AUCKLAND LOCAL PRESIDENT

Due to nominations being received for Auckland Local President, Vice President and Local Committee with common nominees for positions, a series of elections will be conducted in accordance with the Rules.

The election for Auckland Local President will be conducted first, then Vice President and then Local Committee if still required.  Separate notices will be issued for each election.

An election for the Auckland Local President position shall be conducted by electronic voting commencing at 0900 (9am) Monday 9 June 2025 and close 1700 (5pm) Friday 20 June 2025.

Only Auckland Local financial members are entitled to vote.

A dedicated electronic secure voting platform has been established. Voting is anonymous meaning that the confidentiality of any vote is maintained. FAQs on the use of the technology adopted by the NZPFU is available here.

The process for voting is as follows:

  • Auckland Local members will receive a secure invitation to their FENZ email address. The sender’s name is NZPFU and the email will originate from bigpulse.com.
  • To access the election, click the secure link provided in the email.
  • If a biography has been provided you can view a candidate's biography by clicking on the candidate’s name.
  • Select one checkbox by clicking the checkbox against a candidate’s name.
  • Finally, click the "Proceed to vote confirm page"
  • Next, check and confirm your selection then click "Submit Vote" or "Back to make a correction"
  • After submitting, your vote receipt notification will be sent to your email address
  • The system will not let you vote more than once.

ELECTRONIC BALLOT FOR TAURANGA AND KAWERAU MEMBERS ONLY

In 2007 the NZPFU and NZFS signed the attached Tauranga Kawerau Amalgamation document grandparenting conditions for those employed in the district and setting out transfers and travel terms and conditions.

In recent years the Tauranga and Kawerau Locals have been meeting with FENZ management to resolve matters affected by the 2007 agreement and the attached 2025 document has been drafted as a result.


TIMARU LOCAL SECRETARY DECLARATION AND CALLING FOR TIMARU LOCAL PRESIDENT NOMINATIONS

At the close of the notified nominations period one nomination for the position of Timaru Local Secretary has been received.

I therefore declare Jeremy Gaskin as Timaru Local Secretary.

As a result there is the Timaru Local President position is now vacant.

Nominations are now called for the position of Timaru Local President.

Mike will be known by many of our members as a firefighter for many years, before transferring to Waitemata District as a Volunteer Support Officer.
