VALE KEVIN REID

Retired Dunedin firefighter Kevin Reid died late last week.

Kevin joined the New Zealand Fire Service in 1971 and retired in the late 1990s.  He was a long time Dunedin local committee member and a passionate local secretary.

Kevin was awarded life honorary membership of the union for his service.

Those who worked with Kevin remember a strong minded, humorous, and passionate firefighter.

Kevin fought for many of the conditions we now enjoy.

Kevin’s funeral service is being held in Dunedin today.
