The Auckland Local encourages its members to apply for the recently gazetted Assistant Area Manager vacancies in the Manukau Area and the Central Auckland Area.

The position of the Auckland Local on the present Section 66 appointments has not changed, and we see no reason why the Auckland Region needs 14 executive officers when by the end of February they will more than likely, if suitable candidates are found, have only 12 under the new area structure.

We have repeatedly asked the 2 members doing the acting DCFO jobs to return to their substantive positions. Both have refused.
