Christchurch USAR Support

The Union writes to members with regards to a planned USAR Exercise being held Nov 1st- 4th.

The Christchurch Local has raised an important issue of the CEA not being adhered to in terms of members moving onto Black Watch and the entitlement to have the days prior to and following the exercise off.

As a result, the Christchurch Local has Blacked their members attendance due to conditions agreed to in the USAR Schedule of Conditions R7 SCa and the NZPFU Collective Agreement not being applied. In support of the stance of the Christchurch Local the Auckland Local issues the following instruction:

That no member is to attend the USAR exercise scheduled for 01-04 NOV until such time as this issue is remedied to the satisfaction of the Christchurch Local.
