Members are advised that the Employment Court Judge delivered his verdict to the Union this afternoon. The Judge has ordered that the Union and the Employer must return to mediation before notice of strike action is given to the employer.
To that end the strike action planned to start on the 1st July 2011 and postponed by the Union at the request of the Courts to Saturday 9th July at 08:00 cannot now take place.
A further notice and clarification will be available on Monday.
Members are advised that the nomination period for the following two positions is now open and will close at 5pm, Friday 11 September 2026.
An election for the Auckland Local President position shall be conducted by electronic voting commencing at 0900 (9am) Monday 17 August 2026 and closes 1700 (5pm) Friday 4 September 2026.
Members are advised that pursuant to Union Rule B.15.11, notice is given for the Auckland Local Annual General Meeting to be held on Monday 31 August 2026.
