FENZ Update

Attached is a copy of the letter all existing employees of the Fire Service have recently or will shortly receive regarding their transfer into FENZ.

As far as members are concerned the two key items are:

  1. You will transfer on you existing terms and conditions – that is the Collective Agreement.
  2. Other commitments that the Fire Service have made will continue.

In regards to 2) the Union and the Fire Service have agreed on a Heads of Agreement document – Particularly concerning the continuation of the Collective Agreement and also a Memorandum that recommits to consultation and engagement.

The documents only await signing and once that has happened will be published for members.

The Union was instrumental in developing both the working of the letter and the Heads of Agreement as we see the commitment regarding security of Terms and Conditions of employment is absolutely critical to the success of FENZ.
