In accordance with Rule B.10.5.1 of the “Rules of the New Zealand Professional Fire Fighters Union INC”, nominations are called for the position of Hawkes Bay Local President due to a vacancy arising from the resignation of Hawkes Bay Local President Mike Manning.

A copy of the Nomination Form to be used and the NZPFU Charter is attached and is also available on the NZPFU website under Resources, files for download.

Completed nomination forms must be received by the Branch Returning Officer by 5pm on 16^th of October 2020.

Please ensure that all members are aware that nominations are called, and the elections are overseen by the Returning Officer as per below.

All nomination must include the completed attached nomination form with Candidate, Proposer and Seconder details and the Candidate agreeing to abide by the NZPFU Charter.
The Nominee, Proposer and Seconder must be current financial members of the NZPFU.
The nominee/candidate may provide a biography with their nomination form. The biography must not exceed one side of an A4 sheet of paper and may include a photograph or artwork. The biography will be published to members prior to voting.

Last Friday (15^th March 2024) NZPFU Tauranga and Kawerau Local Secretaries and Presidents and I met with National Commander Russell Woods, District Manager Jeff Maunder and Workplace Relations Senior Advisor Mike Todd in Tauranga.

Refusal of FENZ to Honour Travel Time Agreement

The Auckland Local has been working on behalf of members since mid-January to resolve the issue of legitimate travel time payments declined while attending training courses throughout Tāmaki Makaurau and at the Auckland Regional Training Centre.
