Invitation to Mike King “I am Hope Tour”

Posted 8 Nov '19 under Tauranga Local

The Tauranga Local encourages members and their partners to take up the below invite from Area Management and Fire and Emergency. We support any initiatives that help to better educate our members and their families on ways to keep themselves and the people around them happy and healthy.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand are proud to host the 2019 I am Hope Tour, promoting positive mental health.  We are opening up our fire station and inviting members to join us at a free event to hear New Zealander of the Year Mike King and other special guests speak to help raise awareness, encourage openness and listen without judgement when others come to them seeking help.  It’s a simple message – any of us has the power to be the hope that someone needs when facing bullying, depression, low self-worth, anxiety or any other mental health issues.

Time: 1830hrs onwards, Talk starts at 1900hrs.
Date: 12th November
