Notice to Auckland Local Members

The Local has been approached by members that have been contacted by Area management with regards to attending a meeting on the 18th of October with AM Pat Fitzell of New Plymouth. Fitzell is a member of the Appliance Project Recovery team that is attempting to address the multitude of failings with the disastrous Fraser-MAN appliances that the Fire Service has now willingly saddled itself.

No approach has been made to the Local about any such meetings. The Local does not support the participation of any member in any seminar or meeting, as there has been no engagement with the Local about any aspect of the Fraser-MAN fleet.

As a result, the Local instructs:

That no member is to attend any meeting on any aspect of the Fraser-MAN appliances until such time as management make a correct and proper approach to the Local.

The Local will then determine who may be best to represent the interest of members and will contact those members accordingly.
