The Local has been made aware that training for Fire Safety is about to be delivered in the Waitemata Fire Area. The trainer for this is a former member of the Union who stabbed his colleagues in the back in order to assist the employer with the failed reforms of the 90’s.

As there is a long-standing understanding between the Union and the employer, supported by the Employment Court, that persons involved with the introduction of the CST’s are not to interact with members;

Members are instructed to NOT participate in any training or other activity with SRFO D. McErlich, or any other former member who betrayed his colleagues for twenty pieces of silver.

The Union has already notified the Acting Region 1 Manager of this advice. The letter from the National Secretary is attached with this notice, acknowledging their support and confirmation of the approach which has been agreed by the parties in relation to dealing with these former members.

If any member is pressured or bullied in any way to comply with and participate in this training, then that member is to contact a Union Official.
