PETITION TO SUPPORT AMBULANCE FUNDING

First Union Ambulance Officer members are seeking your support for their campaign for the Government to fully fund ambulance services.

Currently both Hato Hone St John and Wellington Free ambulance services are partially funded through the charity of the community which is insufficient to properly run an ambulance service. Crews are understaffed impacting on response times, community response and the ambulance officer’s wellbeing. Safe staffing and reasonable wages are the key issues Hato Hone St John ambulance officers are fighting for in the 10 month battle for a collective agreement.
