Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond our control, the closing date for this Ballot has to be extended.

The new closing date is 1200 hours on Thursday 4th October 2018.

The need for this extension is simply because the courier company has taken far longer to deliver the Ballot Papers than was reasonably expected.

For example the Auckland Ballot Papers were couriered on Friday 7th September.

They are now still not delivered to the Auckland Office by Wednesday 12th.Apparently they are still in the Albany Office of the courier company labelled as ‘Problem Mail.’

Well the only problem is the problem for us – hence the need to extend the Ballot timeframe so all have a fair chance of voting.

So the final sentence on the Ballot Paper now reads.
‘vote in secret and place your completed Ballot Paper in the Ballot Box prior to 1200 hours on Thursday 4th October 2018, which is when the Ballot will close.’

Apologies for all this – but we must ensure that all get a fair chance of exercising their vote.
