Response to Non Purple Incidents

Occasionally, the Local will be advised of crews being responded to non-purple calls or inappropriate requests for assistance.

If this happens, the first step is to log the incident using the medical feedback form, outlining any concerns, as per the attached FENZ notice.

Complete this form when you want to give feedback or ask a question about Medical Response. Complete and email a copy to medical@fireandemergency.nz.

Note: Information about the issue you have raised may be shared with other emergency response agencies, but no information from Safe@Work will be shared. Your personal details will not be shared without you being asked first.

A Safe@Work should also be completed, if appropriate.

If members are not happy with the response, then the Local shall follow it up with the National Advisor - Medical Response.
