Please see attached the Returning Officer’s declarations for the Christchurch Local President and Vice President elections, and the Timaru Local Secretary election.

Congratulations to Christchurch Local President Aaron McKay and Vice President Shane O’Brien, and Timaru Local Secretary Paul Tilsley.

The Timaru Vice President election will now be held electronically commencing 0900 hours on 12 July and closing 1700 hours on 29 July 2022.

Following the close of nominations for the election of the Central Branch positions of Branch Secretary, Branch President and Branch Vice President, I received one nomination for Branch Vice President and nominations for Branch President and Branch Secretary .

Yesterday’s notice (below) from District Commander Mackereth once again highlights the dire state of the Fire and Emergency fleet.

There are currently NO relief aerials available in the country to replace the Parnell aerial that has suffered a steering malfunction.
