The Union has formed a Charitable Trust - The Hamilton Firefighters Trust to receive donations to provide financial support and assistance to the families of those killed or injured at the Tamahere fire.

The interim Trustees are:

Peter Hallett - Secretary, Hamilton Local
Steve Warner - National President
Derek Best - National Secretary
