Elections

Members are advised that all Local executive rep positions and office holders (Pres, V Pres and Sec) are due for election this August.

Very shortly, nomination forms will be sent to all stations asking for members to avail themselves into service for your Local.

The current exec agreed at it’s last meeting, that the configuration of the exec needed to change given the changes in staffing of the Districts, North Wellington being the main change.

The total number of reps will remain the same; 10 incl 1 from comcen and the 3 office holders. However, each district will have 3 reps from it given that the number of members in each district is roughly the same, varying from approx 97– 103.

So please give any nomination serious consideration and if need be, contact any current rep or office holder to identify what is exactly required for their positions.

Web Site

Members should be aware that the NZPFU now has a very good web site up and running. It is envisaged that all Local notices and items of interest will be posted to the Wellington Local site so that they can be accessed by Local members.

Members are encouraged to sign up for updates and to sign up for the web txt alert service. This will enable the Local to txt any urgent messages to members within seconds.
