Members may be somewhat confused by the edicts issued by both National Commander Mike Hall and Fire Region Commander Brian Butt regarding their requirements for the keeping of records during the periods of industrial action scheduled to take place from 23 July 2009.

The instructions from the National Union Committee are quite clear,

"No catch up will take place"
"No records will be kept"

The Auckland Local Committee met, and decided that for the protection of members, certain actions will be undertaken. They are as detailed in ALC/09-96 and are quite clear.

No other records will be kept.

If members are subjected to bullying or intimidation from either Area Managers or their Assistants, or the Regional Manager, they MUST report this to any of the Union Officials detailed in ALC/09-96.

To re-emphasise:

NO CATCH UP WILL TAKE PLACE.
NO RECORDS OF TRAINING ETC. WILL BE KEPT.

The only exception will be as detailed in ALC-09-96.
