The Auckland Local President and Secretary have been meeting with FRM Butt regarding the 405 Fire Safety Building Survey.

As members are aware from NTM AKL/08-143 dated 29 August, we instructed members not to be involved in this process.

This caused Region Management some concern and they sought to meet. The usual letter writing and meeting process occurred (see attached).

To this end, given that the Union now has assurances from FRM Butt that these surveys will not be used to reduce responses, we can see no reason for the training not to start as scheduled.
