99% VOTE DOWN FENZ OFFER

93% VOTE FOR STRIKES

NZPFU Members turned out in droves across the country over the past three weeks with 99.3 percent of those that voted rejecting the FENZ offer.

There was also a landslide of support for strike action with ballot results ranging from 93% to 97.5% of members in favour of the varied strike actions including stoppages.

Please see the attached declaration of the ballot results.

The incredible results confirm FENZ’s offer and communications from the CEO only serve to devalue and disrespect NZPFU members.

In contrast, Members have reported feeling empowered by the proposed action which authorises the NZPFU to embark on a targeted campaign for fair terms and conditions of employment and guaranteed resources to protect the community.

The NZPFU will be notifying of industrial action shortly.  Local and membership meetings will be conducted to guide members through successful industrial action.

In unity,
Wattie Watson
National Secretary
